CIX

CIX is a South Korean boy band assembled by C9 Entertainment in 2019. Before joining the group, several of its members participated in high-profile survival reality shows such as Produce 101, Mix Nine, YG Treasure Box, and Stray Kids. Led by BX, Kim Seung-hun, Kim Yong-hee, Yoon Hyun-suk, and Bae Jin-young, who previously had a brief stint in the short-lived band Wanna One, the project was unveiled through a ten-episode series introducing each member individually. Their first EP, Hello Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger, arrived in July 2019 and proved extremely successful, reaching number 2 in South Korea and number 25 in Japan. That same year, the group's second extended play Hello Chapter 2: Hello, Strange Place climbed to number 4 on the Gaon charts after selling over 80,000 units. After scoring yet another Top 10 entry with the EP Hello Chapter 3: Hello, Strange Time (2020), CIX landed their first number 1 record with Hello Chapter Ø: Hello, Strange Dream in 2021 and issued their highly anticipated studio debut OK Prologue: Be OK later that year. 2022 saw the release of their sophomore effort Pinky Swear, which peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Japan charts, and the EP OK Episode 1: OK Not. CIX's sixth EP OK Episode 2: I'm OK came out in 2023 and climbed to number 3 in South Korea and number 30 in Japan, further boosting their popularity.
