The Adolescents

The Adolescents is an American punk rock band from Fullerton, California, formed in 1979. The initial lineup included Steve Soto on bass and Tony Reflex on vocals, who met at an Agent Orange show in November 1979. Their first performances took place in early 1980, which included a set at Servite High School. The band released its self-titled debut album, Adolescents, in April 1981, and followed it with the EP Welcome to Reality (1981). Subsequent albums include Brats in Battalions (1987) and Balboa Fun Zone (1988). The band went through several lineup changes and breakups during the 1980s, eventually disbanding in April 1989. A reunion in 2001 led to the release of the album OC Confidential in July 2005. Soto and Reflex remained the band's primary songwriters until Soto's death on June 27, 2018. The group continued with Brad Logan on bass, releasing its tenth album, Russian Spider Dump, on October 23, 2020, and its eleventh album, Caesar Salad Days, on July 14, 2023. Other studio albums include The Fastest Kid Alive (2011), Presumed Insolent (2013), La Vendetta... (2014), Manifest Density (2016), and Cropduster (2018).
