When novelty rock band Smash Mouth first got together, the line-up was somewhat different to how it appears now, and it has changed several times during the lifetime of the group. Drummers have largely come and gone, though three of the original line-up - Steve Harwell, Greg Camp and Paul De Lisle, remain. The group's first album 'Fush Yu Mang' hit the shelves soon after the band formed. 'Walkin' On the Sun' was released as the debut single from the album and was a commercial success, helping push the album to its platinum status and fast developing a devoted group of fans. Further hits came for which the band became well known, including 'All Star' from their second album 'Astro Lounge' which went on to feature on several film soundtracks, further increasing the group's popularity. More tracks and albums have since been released, though none have achieved the same status as the band's first studio efforts. After cutting ties with Universal Records in 2012, Smash Mouth signed to 429 Records and released their sixth album 'Magic'. This was followed by a tour and live album 'Playlist: The Very Best of Smash Mouth' (2016). In 2018 the single 'Unity' was released, with featured artists Kool Keith and Darryl McDaniels. With the 20th anniversary of 'Astro Lounge', the band released a remix version of 'All Star' with the promise of new material to come.
