Eve 6, an American rock band formed in La Crescenta, California, in 1995, initially consisted of Max Collins, Jon Siebels, and Nick Meyers. The band started under different names before adopting Eve 6 as a reference to The X-Files. Their first gig was at Eagle's Coffee Pub in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. After securing a recording contract with RCA while still in high school, Meyers left the band and was replaced by Tony Fagenson. The self-titled debut album Eve 6 was released on April 28, 1998, achieving platinum success with hit singles "Inside Out" and "Leech". "Inside Out" reached Number 1 on the Modern Rock charts and spent several weeks in the top ten list on MTV's Total Request Live. The band gained further recognition with their gold-selling sophomore effort Horrorscope (2000), which included hits like "Promise", "On the Roof Again", and the Top 40 hit "Here's to the Night". In 2003, they released the more experimental album It's All in Your Head, featuring the top 10 Modern Rock hit "Think Twice". Poor sales led to their release from RCA and an indefinite hiatus announced in 2004. Eve 6 reunited in 2007 with a new lineup and later welcomed back original member Jon Siebels in 2011. They signed with Fearless Records and released Speak in Code on April 24, 2012, which included the singles "Victoria" and "Curtain".
