Roksana Wegiel

Roksana Emilia Węgiel, known professionally as Roksana Węgiel, was born on January 11, 2005, in Jasło, Poland. She first sang publicly around age eight, but her professional singing career began when she auditioned for The Voice Kids Poland and won its first season in 2018. Her breakthrough came when she represented Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with “Anyone I Want to Be,” which won the competition, making her the first Polish entrant to do so. After winning, Węgiel signed with Universal Music Polska and released her first single “Żyj” followed by “Obiecuję.” She also collaborated with Edyta Górniak on “Zatrzymać Chwilę.” Her self-titled debut studio album Roksana Węgiel was released in 2019. In 2023, she released her second album, 13+5. Węgiel won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Polish Act in 2019 and co-hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with Ida Nowakowska and Aleksander Sikora.
