Talia Mar

Talia Mar (born Natalia Margaret Haddock (neé Haddock) on 6 November 1996 in South London) is a dynamic British pop singer, songwriter, content creator, and gamer who has carved out a multifaceted career in music and digital entertainment. Growing up in a musical household—with a drummer father and singing mother—her passion for music was apparent early on: she began writing songs at eight and taught herself guitar by age 11. Educated at the BRIT School, she absorbed influences from 1990s and early‑2000s R&B icons like Lauryn Hill, Brandy, TLC, and Christina Aguilera—further drawing inspiration from Taylor Swift’s storytelling artistry. She launched her YouTube channel in December 2010, but her consistent uploads began in 2016, focusing on makeup, lifestyle, vlogs, and music content. That same year, she rolled out her debut single, "Stolen", followed in 2017 by singles "In the Day" and "The Voices Are Me"—a powerful song addressing grief after a friend’s suicide, also releasing her debut EP Tough Decisions that June. 2022 saw her achieve breakthrough chart success with "Stay the Night" alongside DJ Sigala, peaking at number 11 in the UK and later certified platinum. The song's appearance on Love Island also significantly boosted its online profile. The 2020s have seen her delve into an edgier pop-R&B crossover aesthetic with offerings like "Self‑Portrait" (March 2023), "ENEMY." (2025), and "Letter to an idiot...", also released in 2025.
