Ella Henderson

Born Gabriella Michelle "Ella" Henderson on January 12, 1996, Ella Henderson is an English pop singer whose appearance on the British talent show The X Factor won over a wide audience even though she placed sixth in the competition. Co-written with OneRepublic vocalist and producer in his own right, Ryan Tedder, Ella Henderson's debut single "Host" (2014) topped the UK Singles Chart, went to eleven on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40, number 15 on the Adult Contemporary Chart and 21 on the Hot 100. Her follow-up single "Glow," also released in 2014, reached number seven in the UK and both tracks appear on her debut album Chapter One, which topped the UK Albums Chart in 2015 and went to number eleven on the Billboard 200. That same year, she was nominated for two BRIT Awards: Best British Female and Best British Single. She featured on Kygo's "Here for You" in 2015 which went to number 12 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart and reached number 18 in the UK, and Sigma's "Glitterball," which reached number four in the UK. Following a four-year hiatus from music, Ella Henderson came back with a bang in 2019 to drop her Glorious EP, which featured a talked-about title track and second single, "Young," while she also stepped in to sing on Jax Jones' "This Is Real" – which reached Number 9 in the UK – from his debut album Snacks (Supersize) and also joined forces with Sigala again for the single "We Got Love," which made Number 42 in the UK. In 2020, she notched up a string of collaborations that included a contribution to Dutch DJ Sam Feldt's song "Hold Me Close," (released in March 2020) and a collaborative single with Roger Sanchez, "Dream On Me," in October 2020. The following February, Ella Henderson scored her fifth Top 10 UK single for "Let's Go Home Together," a collaboration with Tom Grennan, before striking gold in September with dizzying dance banger "Hurricane," a collaboration with French DJ duo Ofenbach. Preceded by the single "Brave," her second studio album Everything I Didn't Say appeared in 2022 and entered the British Top 10 at Number 8.
