Mo Jamil

With his hugely powerful performance of Paolo Nutini's 'Iron Sky' and a voice drenched with raw soul, Mo Jamil was crowned winner of the UK TV talent show 'The Voice' in 2017. A shy, humble character who grew up in foster care in Warrington, Cheshire from the age of three, Mo Adeniran faced homelessness, child abuse, drug and alcohol problems and the death of close friends in his young life, but found a natural talent and escape in music. The 21-year-old caused all four judges to turn their chairs around during his blind audition where he chose R&B star Jennifer Hudson as his mentor and stormed through the rounds with renditions of Bob Dylan's 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door', Beyonce's 'Freedom' and Rag N' Bone Man's 'Human'. After more than four million people watched the show's live final on ITV, Mo won a record deal with Polydor and released the tearjerking ballad 'Unsteady' by US rocker X Ambassadors as his debut single. His EP 'Globetrotter' followed before releasing his debut album 'Evolve' in 2018.
