Propagandhi

Canadian punk and hardcore band Propagandhi was formed in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, in 1986. Comprising Chris Hannah (vocals, guitar) and Jord Samolesky (drums) since its inception, other members include Todd Kowalski (bass, vocals since 1997) and Sulynn Hago (guitar since 2015). Based in Winnipeg, the band known for its commitment began as skate punk with the protest albums How to Clean Everything (1993) and Less Talk, More Rock (1996), before continuing down a melodic hardcore path on Today's Empires, Tomorrow Ashes (2001), Potemkin City Limits (2005) and Supporting Caste (2013). He has since opened up to a style combining punk, hardcore and progressive metal, as evidenced by Failed States (2012) and Victory Lap (2017). Favoring the stage over the studio, the band never stopped touring, and it took no less than eight years for a new album to appear, entitled At Peace (2025).
