Little Jesus

Little Jesus, a Mexican indie rock and tropipop band formed in July 2012 in Ciudad de México, consists of Santiago Casillas (vocals), Juan Manuel Sánchez Rucobo (drums), Fernando Bueno (guitar), Arturo Vázquez-Vela (keyboards), and Carlos Medina (bass). The group began when Santiago Casillas shifted his focus from football to studying music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Their debut album, Norte, was released independently in December 2013 and featured notable singles such as "Azul" and "Químicos." In June 2016, they released their second album, Río Salvaje. Little Jesus have won multiple Indie-O Music Awards, including Song of the Year for "Azul" and "Best Rock Album" for Norte and performed at major festivals such as Vive Latino and Pa'l Norte. Disco de Oro, their third full-length album, arrived in 2019 and reached number 16 on the Mexican charts, followed by 2024's El Show Debe Continuar, which peaked at number 4. The album featured contributions from Argentina's Conociendo Rusia on the title track and Mexican pop singer Ivana on the song "Misterio, Cigarros y Menta."
