Conociendo Rusia

Conociendo Rusia is the Argentine pop rock project led by singer-songwriter Mateo Sujatovich, launched in 2018 with the debut album Conociendo Rusia on Geiser Discos. He quickly scaled up the project with the sophomore set Cabildo y Juramento (2019), a key step in shaping his melodic, guitar-forward sound and positioning him for major national recognition. His third studio album, La Dirección (2021), marked a bigger production leap and earned two Premios Gardel (including Best Rock Album), while also bringing Latin Grammy attention. In 2024, Sujatovich expanded Conociendo Rusia’s reach with the fourth album Jet Love, featuring collaborations with Natalia Lafourcade and Tiago Iorc; that era peaked with the Latin Grammy win for Best Pop/Rock Song for “Cinco horas menos” (with Lafourcade). Through 2025, Conociendo Rusia leaned into high-profile songwriting partnerships and live growth: he released the standalone collaboration “Desastres fabulosos” with Jorge Drexler and the single “Perfecto Final” with Nathy Peluso, toured internationally (including Spain alongside Leiva), and continued stepping up venue scale in Buenos Aires with Movistar Arena shows. He closed 2025 by documenting that live chapter on CONOCIENDO RUSIA VUELVE A CASA (en vivo en Buenos Aires), featuring guest appearances such as Juanse on “Para siempre,” then opened 2026 with the intimate single “Películas De Acción,” produced by Nico Cotton, signaling a new writing-focused phase.
