Judith Lefeber was born on March 14, 1981 in Manipal, Karnataka, India, and was adopted at the age of six months by a couple from Germany. She grew up in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. She began singing, piano and ballet lessons at the age of four and sang in the choir of the St. Aegidius girls' choir. As a teenager, she won second prize in singing at the regional "Jugend musiziert" competition in 1997. After graduating from high school, she studied singing (mezzo-soprano) and piano at the Detmold University of Music and later at the Folkwang University in Essen. In 2002, Judith Lefeber reaches the top 10 in the first season of the TV casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, but voluntarily drops out in the third live show - despite this, she achieves the most votes in two shows. She then releases her debut album In My Dreams in the fall of 2003 via Warner Music. The album reaches number 17 in the German album charts and stays in the top 100 for five weeks. The singles "I Will Follow You" (No. 13 in Germany, No. 61 in Switzerland) and "Everybody Does" (No. 70 in Germany) are released from the album. 2004 sees the release of the second album In My Room via Zyx Music, which is released without any notable chart positions. Judith Lefeber then shifts her focus to musicals: she plays the title role in Aida at the Stage Theater Essen (2004) and can later be seen in Hair and other productions. In 2009, she released a single entitled "Two Mothers" and continued to appear in musical productions, including Hair (2009, 2012) and Queen - Another Kind of Magic (2013/14) as well as Aida in Chemnitz (2011/12, 2013/14).
