Preluders

Preluders are a German pop girl group, founded in 2003 in Germany as part of the casting show Popstars - Das Duell. The band is made up of the members Miriam Cani (* May 30, 1985, Elbasan, Albania), Anh-Thu Doan (* September 7, 1987, Berlin), Anne Ross (* March 17, 1985, Dersum), Rebecca Miro (* November 11, 1984, Berlin) and Tertia Botha (* June 8, 1979, Cape Town, South Africa). The group disbanded in 2006, most recently joined by Patricia "Trish" Sadowski (* August 22, 1988, Guttstadt), who joined at the beginning of 2006 and stayed until the break-up. The Preluders play pop and achieve their greatest success with the debut single "Everyday Girl" (November 2003), which reaches number 1 in Germany and also enters the Top 5 in Austria and Switzerland. Also in 2003, the debut album Girls in the House is released, which reaches number 2 in the German album charts, number 4 in Switzerland and number 5 in Austria, as well as a gold award for over 100,000 copies sold. In 2004, the cover album Prelude to History is released with a collection of songs from the 50s to the 80s; the album reaches number 44 in Germany. Releases such as "Walking in Sunshine" (number 24 in Germany) and "Do You Love Me" (number 51 in Germany) follow, but achieve moderate chart success. In July 2006, the single "I Want Your T.I.M.E." is released, reaching number 91; in fall 2006, the group officially announces its end. In 2022, the song "Show Me Your Love Is True", which was recorded in 2006, is released digitally.
