Nu Pagadi is a German pop-rock band with dark rock elements that was founded in 2004 as part of the fourth season of the ProSieben TV reality format Popstars. The band consists of Markus Grimm, born on May 5, 1979 in Moers, Patrick Boinet, born on January 5, 1976 in Berlin, Kristina Dörfer, born on July 26, 1984 in Wurzen, and Doreen Steinert, born on November 4, 1986 in Potsdam. Nu Pagadi describe their musical style as glam rock with influences from pop and rock. Their debut single "Sweetest Poison" is released on December 13, 2004 and reaches number 1 in the German, Austrian and Swiss single charts. On January 17, 2005, the band released their first and only album Your Dark Side, which also reached number 1 in the German album charts. The second single "Dying Words" is released in March 2005, but is unable to build on the success of the debut single and reaches number 22 in the German charts. In May 2005, Doreen Steinert leaves the band due to musical differences. The remaining members continue the band as a trio until they announce their break-up in September 2005, also due to musical and personal differences.
