Good Riddance

Good Riddance are an American punk rock band from Santa Cruz, California, formed in 1986. The group was established by vocalist Russ Rankin, though they did not function as a full band until guitarist Luke Pabich joined several years later. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style that combines fast hardcore punk with catchy melodies. The ensemble released the debut extended play Gidget (1993) through Little Deputy Records before signing with the label Fat Wreck Chords in 1995. Their recording career includes the debut studio album For God and Country (1995) and the studio recordings A Comprehensive Guide to Moderne Rebellion (1996), Ballads from the Revolution (1998), and Operation Phoenix (1999). The group disbanded in 2007 following a farewell concert recorded as the live album Remain in Memory - The Final Show (2007). After resuming activity in 2012, they released the studio recordings Peace in Our Time (2015) and Thoughts and Prayers (2019). Their discography includes the studio album Before the World Caves In (2026). Their lyrical themes address political protests, critical analyses of American society, and personal struggles.
