Chamillionaire

Hakeem Seriki, who performs under the name Chamillionaire, is an American rapper from Texas who gained attention when he collaborated with childhood friend Paul Wall on an album titled 'Get Ya Mind Correct', which reached number 67 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart in 2002. Exposure on a Houston radio show led to a recording contract and he and Wall released the album 'Controversy Sells' in 2005. It reached number 50 on the Hip-Hop Chart and in 2005 his album 'The Sound of Revenge' went to number two as well as number ten on the Billboard 200. It included the single 'Ridin'', featuring Krayzie Bone, which won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance By a Duo Or Group in 2006. It topped the Billboard Hot 100, went to number two on the Hot Rap Songs Chart, number three on the Mainstream Top 40 and number seven on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. He featured on Texas-born singer Ciara's 2006 single 'Get Up', which went to number ten on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and number 15 on the Mainstream Chart. His 2007 release 'Ultimate Victory' reached number eight on the Billboard 200. He has released several mixtapes and studio albums since then, the latest being 'Greatest Verses 3' in 2018. An entrepreneur as well as an entertainer, he has embarked on various business enterprises including his own record label and the video chat and streaming app called Convoz.
