Swishahouse

Swishahouse, a Southern hip hop record label, was founded in 1997 by Michael "5000" Watts and OG Ron C in North Houston, Texas. Initially focused on chopped and screwed music, Swishahouse distributed mixtape series featuring slowed versions of R&B songs. The label released "Still Tippin'" by Mike Jones from The Day Hell Broke Loose 2, which was certified Platinum by the RIAA. This led to a national distribution deal with Asylum Records and the release of Mike Jones' major-label debut album Who Is Mike Jones? in April 2005. Swishahouse released albums such as Paul Wall's The Peoples Champ (2005), which debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200.
