Betty Blowtorch

Betty Blowtorch, an all-female American hard rock band from Southern California, was formed in 1998 by three members of Butt Trumpet. The group released their debut EP Get Off in 1999, which included the single “Get Off / Betty Blowtorch Anthem.” In 2001, they released their first full-length album Are You Man Enough?, featuring tracks such as “Hell on Wheels” and “Size Queen,” the latter featuring Vanilla Ice. The band toured with Nashville Pussy during this period, but lead singer and bassist Bianca Halstead (Butthole) was killed in a car crash while on tour in New Orleans on December 15, 2001. Following her death, the remaining members disbanded. A collection titled Last Call: Memorial Rarities Collection was released in 2003.
