Zheng Jun

Zheng Jun (郑钧), born 6 November 1967 in Xi'an, China, is a Chinese rock singer-songwriter whose career began after studying at the Hangzhou Institute of Electrical Engineering. He entered the music scene with his debut album 赤裸裸 in 1994, released by Red Star Productions, and achieved commercial success. Subsequent studio albums include Third Eye(1997), Bloom (1999) and Zhengjun=zj (2001). In 2002 he earned the MTV International Viewer's Choice Award for “1/3 Dream”, becoming only the second Chinese artist to receive the honor after Cui Jian. His rendition of Coldplay’s “Yellow” as “流星” appeared in the 2001 Meteor Garden soundtrack and the 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians. Later albums 长安长安 (2007), 听上去不错 (2019), and 两只口罩 (2022) expanded his discography, while tracks such as “温暖2020”were released around 2020. Zheng Jun served as a judge on Happy Boys Voice and as a producer for the 2016 feature Rock Dog, based on his manga Tibetan Rock Dog.
