Zaho

Real name Zahera Darabid, French R&B singer Zaho was born in Algiers on May 10, 1980. On the strength of duets with Idir ("Tout ce temps"), Soprano ("Hey Papi") and Tunisiano ("La Roue tourne", No. 15 in France), included on her debut album Dima (No. 36 in Belgium, No. 11 in France), she became the revelation of 2008 and one of the great French R&B voices. Winner of an MTV Europe Music Award and an NRJ Music Award for her debut album, Zaho returned to the studio in 2012 to release her second album Contagieuse (No. 65 in Belgium, No. 47 in France), featuring thehit "Boloss " (No. 63 in France) and new duets with Rohff ("Maintenant ou jamais") and Christophe Willem ("Indélébile"). This mix of committed rap and French variété spared her the labels. She then took part in the composition of the musical La Légende du Roi Arthur and made new collaborations with Céline Dion, Black M and MHD. The latter two were invited to sing on her third album Le Monde à l'Envers (2017), which reached number 27 in the French charts. Six years later, Zaho returned with the album Résilience (No. 10 in France), featuring duets with Indila, Dadju, Tayc and GLK, among others.
