Tove Lo

Tove Lo (born October 29, 1987 in Stockholm) is a singer and songwriter from Sweden. Born Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, she has been making music since 2006, initially as a singer for various bands. In 2012, Tove Lo began to work on her solo career. In the same year, she released her debut single "Love Ballad". In 2013, the Swedish singer scored a worldwide hit with her second single. "Habits (Stay High) " climbed to number 3 in the USA and reached quintuple platinum status. The song also reached the top 20 or top 10 in other countries, making Tove Lo famous in one fell swoop. 2014 saw Tove Lo release the EP Truth Serum. The debut album Queen Of The Clouds followed at the end of the year. The album became a hit, particularly in the USA, reaching number 14 and platinum status. In the same year, Tove Lo achieved another international chart success as a guest singer with the single "Heroes (We Could Be)" together with Swedish DJ Alesso. in 2016, Tove Lo released her second album, Lady Wood. The album becomes a number 1 hit in Sweden. It reached number 11 in the USA and the song "Cool Girl" became a hit. With " Close", Tove Lo achieves another chart success as a guest singer together with US singer Nick Jonas. The Swede releases further longplayers with Blue Lips (2017) and Sunshine Kitty (2019). In 2021, Tove Lo's voice appears on the single "Give It All Up" by Duran Duran. The album Dirt Femme follows a year later. The longplayer climbed to number 11 in the US charts, after which things became a little quieter for the singer. In mid-June 2024, Tove Lo returned with the EP Heat, which reached number 20 in the US charts. The single of the same name reaches number 86 in the US charts.
