Voz de Mendo are a Mexican/American group, founded in Los Angeles. The members originally came from Culiacan, Sinaloa in Mexico. They were founded in 2009 and made their name with the self-released albums 'Levantando la Voz' and 'Impactos de Alto Calibre' in 2009. They achieved their breakthrough with the 2010 single 'Comandos del MP (500 Balazos)'. This was taken from their first major label album release 'Con La Nueva Federacion' in 2010. In 2011, their song 'Voz de Mando' featured in the Chris Weitz film 'A Better Life'. They have released regular albums, including their acclaimed sixth album 'Levantando Polvadera'. In 2016, the band's song 'Compadre No Rajes' was used as the theme for the TV series 'Ruta 35'. In 2019 they released the album 'Quitate la Careta'.
