Veslefrekk

Veslefrekk was a Norwegian jazz band established in 1989 in Trondheim, Norway. The group consisted of Ståle Storløkken on keyboards, Arve Henriksen on vocals and trumpet, and Jarle Vespestad on drums. They began their musical journey within the academic environment of the Jazz program at the Trondheim Musikkonservatorium. Their debut album, Veslefrekk, was released in 1994. The band also participated in notable events such as The Seventh Mute, part of the Jazz from Norway series, and contributed to commissions at Vossajazz 1995. Following a concert with DEATHPROD at Nattjazz in 1997, Veslefrekk transformed into the quartet Supersilent, which included Helge Sten (also known as Deathprod) contributing effects he had picked up when collaborating with Motorpsycho. In 2004, Veslefrekk reunited to release the melodic album Valse Mysterioso and participated in the Trondheim Jazz Festival.
