A musical prodigy on the Norwegian jazz scene, saxophonist and flautist Hakon Kornstad came to the attention of pianist Bugge Wesseltoft, who signed him to his Jazzland label in 1998. After four albums with his group Wibutee, the demanding soloist went on to record as a trio(Space Available, 2002), a duo (the remarkable Eight Tunes We Like with Havard Wiik and Elise with Ingebrigt Haker) and then released the albums Single Engine (2007) and Dwell Time (2009) under his own name.
