Tub Ring, a rock band from Chicago, was formed in 1992 by Jason Fields, Kevin Gibson, Chris "Mouse" Blake, and Geoff Valker. After their manager Lee Swanson passed away in 1994, keyboardist Rob Kleiner joined the band. Trey Spruance, guitarist of Mr. Bungle, produced Tub Ring's first full-length album, Drake Equation, released in 2001. The band gained recognition through collaborations with acts like Dog Fashion Disco and Mindless Self Indulgence. They signed with The End Records in 2006 and released several albums, including The Great Filter (2007) and Secret Handshakes (2010). Tub Ring is known for their energetic stage shows, including a performance at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2008.
