Thunderpussy is an American hard rock band formed in 2013 in Seattle, Washington, consisting of Molly Sides (vocals), Whitney Petty (guitar), Leah Julius (bass) and Michelle Nuño (drums). The female-dominated group quickly made a name for themselves with their explosive stage performances, raw energy and assertive glam-rock aesthetic, blending classic hard rock, garage, punk and blues. Their style pays homage to 1970s rock while injecting a provocative, feminine modernity. In 2018, Thunderpussy released a self-titled debut album produced by Sylvia Massy on Stardog/Republic Records, featuring tracks such as "Speed Queen" and "Torpedo Love". The album is hailed for its power, catchy riffs and Molly Sides' intense vocals. The band assumes a queer and feminist identity, often asserted in their lyrics and media presence. Thunderpussy continue their journey, releasing the Greatest Tits (2018) and Milk It (2019) EPs. After the pandemic, Thunderpussy returned to the stage before going into the studio to record the album West (2024), featuring the participation of Mike McCready.
