Teddy Swims

Jaten Dimsdale (born in Georgia, U.S.A on September 25, 1992), known as Teddy Swims, is an American singer-songwriter. After being introduced to soul music at an early age, he performed on stage as a teenager, and learning piano, ukulele, and singing. Starting his career in Atlanta bands, WildHeart and Eris, he soon began posting covers on YouTube, most notably Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One” which has attracted over 86 million views. After signing with Warner Records, he released his first studio single “Picky” in January 2020, followed by “Broke” in August, and the soulful R&B ballad “My Bad” in February 2021, before being named “Artist You Need to Know” by Rolling Stone Magazine. Swims released an additional two singles in March and April respectively: the upbeat “Till I Change Your Mind” and “Bed On Fire”, which Swims performed on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert (talk show), with both singles appearing on his 2021 EP Unlearning. In October of that year, Swims released the 6-track Christmas EP A Very Teddy Christmas followed by his EP Tough Love on January 21, 2022, which included popular singles “Simple Things” and “911.” During this time, he embarked on a UK and Europe tour throughout May and June 2022 before the emergence of his fourth EP Sleep Is Exhausting on November 4. In 2023, Swims made an appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Lose Control," the lead single from his studio debut, I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1). Released in September of that year, the album reached number 54 on the Billboard 200 and number 24 in the UK while also landing in the Top 10 in Australia and the Netherlands.
