Tami Neilson

Tamara "Tami" Neilson, born in 1977 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a singer known for her work in contemporary country and country music. She began her musical journey as a member of The Neilsons, performing with her family across North America. Her breakthrough came with the release of Red Dirt Angel (2008). Tami Neilson's career gained significant traction with the album Dynamite! (2014), which was listed in The Guardian as one of the Top 10 country albums of the year. She won multiple awards, including the 2014 APRA Silver Scroll Awards and Best Country Song Award, and Best Country Album at the New Zealand Music Awards in 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2015. Notable singles include "Holy Moses" (2016) and "Big Boss Mama" (2019). The 2022 album Kingmaker debuted at Number  1, featuring "Beyond the Stars" with Willie Nelson, nominated for an APRA Silver Scroll. A tribute album to Willie Nelson, Neilson Sings Nelson, arrived in 2024, followed by Neon Cowgirl in 2025.
