Söhne Mannheims

Söhne Mannheims, a German soul music group, was founded in 1995 in Mannheim. Key founding members included Xavier Naidoo, Ingo Landeck, Tobias Fouqet, Ulli Wittemann, Claus Eisenmann, Michael Herberger, and Billy Davis. Söhne Mannheims released their debut single "Wir haben euch noch nichts getan" in March 2000, followed by the hit single "Geh davon aus" which peaked at number 2 on the charts. Their first studio album Zion, released in December 2000, reached number 4 and was certified platinum. The band's second studio album Noiz (2004) topped the charts and received six-fold platinum certification in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The album included one of their most successful singles "Und wenn ein Lied," which peaked at number 2. Söhne Mannheims continued to release albums, including Söhne, Mond und Sterne (2005), a compilation featuring solo tracks by each member, and the MTV Unplugged album Wettsingen in Schwetzingen (2008). Their third studio album IZ ON was released in 2009, reaching number 3 on the German charts. In 2014, they released their fifth studio album ElyZion. In the following years, Söhne Mannheims underwent significant personnel changes, with key founding members leaving and new singers Michael Klimas, Dominic Sanz, and Karim Amun joining. The band continued to produce music, releasing singles such as "Moral" (2020) and the album Kompass in 2023.
