Silbermond

Silbermond is a German pop-rock band from Bautzen. The band consists of Stefanie Kloß (vocals), Johannes (bass) and Thomas Stolle (guitar) as well as Andreas Nowak (drums). The members got to know each other in 1998. Initially, the group's repertoire consisted mainly of cover songs and a few original compositions with English lyrics. In the fall of 2001, the first German-language songs were written. In January 2004, Silbermond accompanied Jeanette Biedermann on tour as the support act. Their debut single "Mach's Dir selbst" is released in the same year. The first album Verschwende deine Zeit (2004) goes double platinum in Germany and Austria. The single " Symphonie" reaches the German Top 10. On April 21, 2006, the band's second album " Laut gedacht " is released, accompanied by a strong media response. On October 6, 2006, the single " Das Beste" immediately reaches number 1 in the German singles charts. In 2008, the band released several successful collaborations, including " Der Deal" with Udo Lindenberg and "Bis zum Schluss" with rapper Curse. The third Silbermond album entitled Nichts passiert (Nothing Happens ) is released in 2009 and reaches number 1 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the first week of sales. The following albums Himmel auf and Leichtes Gepäck again achieve gold and platinum status. Schritte (2019) is followed by the single "Ein anderer Sommer" in 2020. One year later, "Milliarden" is released with crime novelist Sebastian Fitzek. In 2022, the single " Auf Auf" announces the next album. It takes until 2023 before Auf Auf is released. The album climbs to the top of the German album charts again. Silbermond regularly release live versions of their studio albums. The live album Auf Auf - Live im Theater des Westens is released at the end of August 2024.
