Sick Luke

Luca Antonio Barker, aka Sick Luke, was born in London, England, on August 17, 1994. The Italian beatmaker, producer and rapper was quickly immersed in the world of music thanks to his father, also a rapper, Duke Montana, a former member of the Roman collective TruceKlan. He was just 13 when he began composing his first tracks. In 2013, after joining the Honiro label, he released his first mixtape called Instrumentals. Over the years, several new chapters were released: 808 Nostalgie (2013), then Instrumentals 2, 3 and 4, in 2014, 2016 and 2019 respectively. At the same time, he produced tracks for artists such as Sfera Ebbasta, Luchè, Jamil, Machete Crew, Izi, Gué Pequeno, Emis Killa and Ghali. He also made a name for himself alongside the Dark Polo Gang collective, for whom he produced the mixtape Full Metal Dark in 2015, before going on to produce three more for individual projects by some of the members: Crack Musica for Tony Effe and Dark Side in 2016, Succo di Genzero for Wayne Santana in 2016 and The Dark Album for Dark Pyrex, also in 2016. Then came the collective's first album, Twins, in 2017, followed by two others in which Sick Luke remains a key player: Sick Side and Trap Lovers, both in 2018. The following year, he teamed up with Mecna for the album Neverland, featuring artists such as The Psychologists, CoCo, Luchè and Tedua. In early 2022, Sick Luke released his second album, X2, with a host of guests, including his own father Duke Montana. It includes the track "Solite Pare", featuring The Supreme and Sfera Ebbasta, which reached No. 1 in the Italian charts. A deluxe edition of the album is released at the end of the year, followed by the single "Rock'n'Roll" with Tony Boy in 2023. Sick Luke then set to work on his next album, Dopamina (2025), featuring a host of guests including Blanco and Simba La Rue, Ele A, Tedua, Thasup, Capo Plaza, Venerus, Clams Casino, Nayt and Rose Villain. Among his many chart-topping tracks is No. 10 "Monkey Machine", with Lazza and Tony Effe.
