Seabear

Seabear, an indie-folk band from Reykjavík, Iceland, was formed in 2000 as a solo project by Sindri Sigfússon. Initially, Sigfússon produced the album I'm Me on Sundays (2002) and the EP Singing Arc (2004). The band's first live performance in Berlin led to the addition of Örn Ingi Ágústsson and Guðbjörg Hlín Guðmundsdóttir, eventually growing to six members. Their debut album, The Ghost That Carried Us Away, was released in 2007 through Morr Music and received positive reviews. The band embarked on a European tour in 2007, adding Sóley Stefánsdóttir as the seventh member. In November 2007, they released the single "Teenage Kicks", a cover of the Undertones' song. Seabear continued touring extensively in 2008 and released their second album, We Built a Fire, in 2010. The band's third album, In Another Life, was released in 2022.
