Hafdis Huld

Hafdís Huld Þrastardóttir, known as Hafdís Huld, born on May 22, 1979, in Iceland, is a singer and actress. She began her musical career at the age of 15 as a member of the electronic band GusGus, participating in two world tours from 1995 to 1999. After leaving GusGus, Hafdís collaborated with various artists and studied at the London Centre of Contemporary Music. Her solo debut album, Dirty Paper Cup, was released in 2005 on MVine/Red Grape Records, winning the Icelandic Music Award for Best Pop Album in early 2007. The album featured notable singles such as "Who Loves the Sun" and "Tomoko". She supported Paolo Nutini on an eight-date sold-out tour of the UK. Her second solo album, Synchronised Swimmers, was released in Iceland in 2009, with two singles reaching Number 1 on the Icelandic singles chart: "Könguló" and "Synchronised Swimmers".
