Saucy Dog

Saucy Dog, formed in 2013 in Japan, emerged from the collaboration of vocalist and guitarist Shinya Ishihara, bassist Kazuki Akizawa, and drummer Yuika Seto, who had honed their craft in local venues before officially debuting. The band’s first public offering was the extended play Country Road on 24 May 2017, which introduced their blend of J‑rock and mainstream rock sensibilities. In 2018, the single "真昼の月" and the album サラダデイズ expanded their audience, followed by the 2019 releases Stand By Me and the album Blue Period, the latter featuring the hit "Cinderella Boy" that surpassed 540 million streams by 2021. Subsequent albums Take Me (2020), Lazy Sunday (2021), サニーボトル (2022), But Really (2023), and はしやすめ (2023) maintained steady chart presence, with "Yasashisa ni Afureta Sekaide" reaching the top ten on the Japan Hot 100. In 2024, New Gate was released on 18 December, following with Curry Rice in 2025.
