Shishamo

Shishamo were a Japanese rock and pop rock ensemble from Kawasaki active between 2010 and 2026. The group was established by Asako Miyazaki, Misaki Yoshikawa, and Aya Matsumoto. After Matsumoto departed in 2014 the ensemble included the bassist Aya Matsuoka. Their recording career began with the self-produced recording Sotsugyō Seisaku (2013) and the debut studio recording Shishamo (2013). They achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Shishamo 5 (2018) which reached number 3 on the Japanese charts. Their discography includes the studio recordings Shishamo 2 (2015), Shishamo 3 (2016), and Shishamo 4 (2017). They achieved professional recognition for the track "Mizuiro no Hibi" (2018) which reached number 15 on the Billboard Japan chart and the track "Bye Bye" (2017) which reached number 22 on the Oricon charts. Their recording career includes the studio recordings Shishamo 6 (2020), Shishamo 7 (2021), and Shishamo 8 (2024). The ensemble became inactive in June 2026 following a final concert at the Uvance Todoroki Stadium by Fujitsu. Their recording career includes the compilation Shishamo Deshita!!! (2026).
