Born in Saint-Martin-Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, in 2000, Hugo Brebion aka Sam Sauvage grew up in Boulogne-sur-Mer. He was a member of the group Photomaton before going solo with the EP Prémices (2023). A self-taught guitarist, he nonetheless adopts a synthpop style straight out of the 1980s, with his own incisive pen style and somewhat disillusioned attitude. Singles followed, "Dans la bathroom" in 2023, then "La Fin du monde" in 2024 and "Les Gens qui dansent (J'adore)" in 2025, which inaugurated the series leading to the second Sam Sauvage EP, ranked No. 78 in the French sales and listening charts.
