Born in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) on September 6, 1991, Flora Fischbach first made a name for herself under her surname, before adding her first name to her artist's name. She grew up in the Ardennes and dropped out of school before passing her baccalauréat, to make a living from odd jobs. She settled in Reims, where she sang in the rock duo Most Agadn't, before going solo on stage in the early 2010s. Selected for the InRocKs festival in 2015, the singer, who opts for a synthpop style sung in French, released her namesake debut EP at the same time. In May of the following year, she won the Printemps de Bourges prize for her performance at the festival, and went on to prepare her debut album with her live musicians. The album, entitled À Ta Merci, was released in February 2017 on the independent label Entreprise to unanimous critical acclaim, earning her one of the "coups de cœur" awarded by the Académie Charles-Cros, and featuring tracks such as "Mortel", "Y crois-tu" and "Un autre que moi". Nominated at the 2018 Victoires de la musique awards, Fishbach appeared the following year in the TV series Vernon Subutex, then recorded her second album Avec les Yeux, released in February 2022, featuring the title track "Masque d'or". The singer embarked on an extensive tour, including a performance at the Olympia in Paris in November. In 2025, her third album, Val Synth, was released under the name Flora Fishbach, featuring the singles "Comme Jean Reno" with the actor, "Des bêtises (Part I)" and "La Machiavela".
