Born in Geneva on April 20, 1995, Swiss singer Charline Mignot is better known by her stage name Vendredi sur Mer. Her art studies led her to photography, but she decided to devote herself to songwriting after meeting manager Paul Andrieux. Assisted by musician Lewis OfMan, she wrote her first EP Marée Basse, which was released in 2017 and led to a series of concerts, including an appearance at the Paléo festival in Lyon. In 2019, the album Premiers Emois revealed her to a wider audience, thanks in particular to the lead track "Ecoute chérie", which was acclaimed on music platforms. The album reaches no. 42 in Switzerland and no. 58 in France. Vendredi sur Mer continues in this electro-pop vein with the more introspective, but still slightly dreamy, Métamorphose (2022), driven by the song "Le Lac". After a new series of concerts comes the time to write and return to the studio for the 3rd album Malabar Princess, released in 2025 and featuring contributions from pianist Sofiane Pamart on "Arrêter le temps" and guitarist Hani El Khatib on "Hard".
