Real name Anaïs Thomas, French musician and singer Bonnie Banane was born in Brittany in 1987 and grew up in Saint-Tropez. In 2012, she appeared with the Greatest Hits EP, in which her pop is tinged with R&B, trap and electro. A member of the R.A.P.T. duo she forms with producer Walter Mecca, she collaborates with Myth Syzer, Jimmy Whoo, Jazzy Bazz and Flavien Berger, while a second EP entitled Soeur Nature sees the light of day in 2015, followed by a series of singles including "Statue" (2016), "Mouvements" (2017), "Feu au lac" (2018), "La Clef" (2019) and the mutinous "La Lune & le soleil" (2020). In 2020, the diptych "Mauvaise foi" and "Limites", followed by the single "Flash", paved the way for Bonnie Banane's debut album, Sexy Planet, released by the Péché Mignon label at the end of the year. The fourteen-track collection, sung in French, covers a broad palette from urban pop to electronic experimentation. A third of new songs were added for the release a year later of Sexy Planet: Epilogue (2022), featuring the duet "Cour des miracles " with rapper Ichon. The same year saw the release of an EP, S.O.S., followed a year and a half later by the track "Red Flags", and in the wake of this the alternative pop album Nini (2024), ranked 58th in physical sales in France, with the single "Franchement". A year later, the French pop explorer returns with L'Orguasme, produced in collaboration with Joseph Schiano di Lombo and featuring the single "La Petite mort".
