Roll Deep is a British grime and garage rap collective formed in 2001 in Bow, East London. Named Roll Deep Entourage at its creation by Wiley after leaving Pay as U Go Cartel, it also includes Bionics, Brazen, Breeze, Danny Weed, DJ Karnage, Riko Dan, Scratchy, DJ Target, Tinchy Stryder, Flowdan and Jet Le (present until 2008). The line-up continues to evolve, with guest appearances by Dom P (2002), Wonder and Jamabaki (2002-2003) and Dizzee Rascal (2002-2004). In 2004, they were joined by Biggie Pitbull, Bubbles, Manga Saint Hilare, Roachee (present until 2008), Trim, DJ Maximum and Syer Barz. Success followed with the debut album In at the Deep End (2005), which won the collective an Urban Music Award. In 2006, newcomers Skilla P and Skepta took part in the albums Rules & Regulations (2007) and Return of the Big Money Sound (2008), before leaving the group in 2010. Reduced to seven members after a succession of departures, Roll Deep enjoyed its greatest success with the #1 singles "Good Times" and "Green Light", included on the album Winner Stays On (2010), featuring collaborations with Jodie Connor, Tania Foster, Eva Simons and Alesha Dixon on the single "Take Control" (#29). Mothballed after the release of album X (2012), Roll Deep made a comeback in 2024. It now includes DJ Karnage, DJ Target, Manga Saint Hilare, Scratchy, Breeze, Riko Dan and Roachee.
