Raise Hell

Raise Hell, a Swedish black metal band from Stockholm, was formed in 1997. The group initially went through several name changes before settling on Raise Hell. Their breakthrough came with the demo Nailed, which secured them a deal with Nuclear Blast. In 1998, they released their debut album Holy Target. The band gained attention through opening slots for bands like Dismember and Agathodaimon and performances at the Wacken Open Air festival in 1998. Their second album, Not Dead Yet, was produced by Anders Fridén of In Flames and released in 2000. After parting ways with Nuclear Blast, Raise Hell signed with Black Lodge Records but faced internal changes. Following a nine-year hiatus, they returned with their fifth album, Written in Blood, in 2015.
