Poisonblack

Poisonblack was a Finnish metal band formed in 2000 by Ville Laihiala and Janne Kukkonen. Initially a side project for Laihiala, who recruited Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto from Charon as vocalist. Their debut album, Escapexstacy, was released in February 2003 via Century Media. Following tours with notable acts like Iron Maiden and Lacuna Coil, Poisonblack released their second album, Lust Stained Despair, in August 2006, with Laihiala taking over vocals. The band continued touring extensively, including appearances at major festivals. Subsequent albums included A Dead Heavy Day (August 2008), Of Rust and Bones (March 2010), and Lyijy (September 2013). In August 2015, Laihiala announced the band's disbandment via Facebook.
