Pacho y Cirilo was a Puerto Rican reggaetón duo composed of Neftalí Álvarez Núñez (Pacho, later known as Pacho El Antifeka) and Julio Ángel Lago Ferrer (Cirilo), who rose from the island’s mixtape circuit around 2010 and formalized their run after launching the Alqaedas Inc imprint with Kendo Kaponi in 2011. They built early traction with street singles such as “Me van a dar” with Julio Voltio, Ñengo Flow, Maximus Wel and others, “Mi combo jala” with Jory Boy, and “Dicen que vienen por mí” with D.Ozi, then widened their audience in 2012 with cuts like “Ella quiere.” The duo’s breakthrough arrived with the studio album Los Dueños de la Calle con Humildad & Respeto (2013), a collaborative set that featured “Vinimos a joder” with Jowell & Randy, “Matemos esas ganas” with De La Ghetto, “El gran palo” with Polaco, “Como antes” with Jory Boy and Kendo Kaponi, “Pregúntale a la luna” with Divino, and “Aquí en esta prisión” with J Álvarez, consolidating their name across Puerto Rico and Latin urban markets. They kept momentum through 2014 with standouts including “El que tenga miedo que se quite” with Cosculluela and its remix, and “Odiada por muchas (Remix)” with Daddy Yankee, J Álvarez, and De La Ghetto. In 2015 they issued the single “No Tengas Miedo” and capped a prolific phase with the compilation series Los Alqaedas Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3, alongside high-profile collaborations such as “Nos vamos a criterio” and “La disco se encendió” both with Farruko and guests. Activity slowed as each artist pursued solo work—Pacho later released the album All-Star Game (2021)—and the duo’s story closed tragically when Pacho was killed in 2023, leaving a catalog remembered for its hard-edged hooks, dense feature lists, and a defining role in Puerto Rico’s 2010s wave of street reggaetón.
