Emanuel Amaro Cruz, known professionally as Amaro, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton artist celebrated for his versatility and dedication to urban music. Born on August 4, 1980, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, he grew up immersed in creative and musical influences, with his mother’s background in theater and singing sparking his artistic curiosity. Amaro began his musical journey under the mentorship of Chencho Corleone from Plan B, gaining exposure through concert tours and collaborations with reggaeton icons like Ñengo Flow, Ñejo, Dálmata, and Kevin Roldán. His 2005 breakout hit "Mujeres en el club" remains a fan favorite, showcasing his ability to blend reggae and urban rhythms. In 2013, Amaro released his debut album Puesto pa' lo mio, featuring notable tracks like "Amor de antes," which propelled him further into the spotlight with its romantic narrative and star-studded collaborations. Over the years, he has continued to evolve, releasing hits like "Parcerita" (2015), "Solos" with Kevin Roldán (2019), and "Te pasas" (2022), while reinventing his sound in Medellín, Colombia.
