Not a Toy is an alternative rock and alt-pop band from Denver, Colorado, formed by childhood friends who grew up making music together and experimenting across genres. The group blends rock energy with hip-hop rhythms, electronic textures, and cinematic pop hooks, creating a sound that is both modern and eclectic. Known for their visual creativity as much as their songs, they handle their own artwork and videos, presenting themselves as a fully self-contained art collective. After building a following with independent releases and striking live performances, they signed with Fueled By Ramen and introduced themselves widely with their self-titled EP in 2020, showcasing tracks that highlighted their mix of emotional songwriting, polished production, and genre-bending ambition. They followed with the debut album PRBLMS in 2023 and the EP Today I Woke Up and Thought About You in 2024. In 2025 they got the hit "Doomsday Holiday", ranked number nine in the Dance & Electronic Songs chart.
