Nerd Connection, a South Korean rock band formed in 2017, consists of members Shin Yeon-tae, Choi Seong-won, Seo Young-joo, and Park Jae-hyun. The group originated from Yonsei University's college band club 'Medusa,' where Seo Young-joo and Choi Seung-wo met in 2012 and later teamed up with Park Jae-hyun. In 2017, they decided to pursue their musical activities professionally and recruited Shin Yeon-tae as their drummer. Nerd Connection officially debuted on August 12, 2018, with the single "Hymn of the Birds" following a win at the Emergenza World Band Competition 2018 Korea. The band's career began to gain traction in 2019 with the release of their first EP, Too Fast, which featured five songs. In 2020 and 2021, they released several singles including "Good Night Good Dream" and "Nan". On October 27, 2021, Nerd Connection released their debut full-length album, New Century Masterpiece Cinema. The band signed with the Korean record label Your Summer in June 2021. In 2022, they embarked on their first tour, Supernova!, and performed at international festivals such as the Germany Reeperbahn Festival. Their music has been featured in various OSTs including "Lullaby" for Through The Darkness and "I'm Lost" for Blind.
