Moving Mountains

Moving Mountains is an American alternative rock and post-rock band formed in 2005 in Westchester County, New York, by Gregory Dunn (vocals, guitar), Nicholas Pizzolato (drums), Mitchell Lee (bass) and Frank Graniero (guitar, backing vocals). The band first came to prominence with a self-produced demo, which became the album Pneuma in 2007, initially released independently, then reissued in 2008 on Deep Elm Records. Their style blends atmospheric post-rock, emo and alternative rock. In 2010, they released their second album Waves on Triple Crown Records, a more direct, rock-oriented effort, followed by an EP shared with Thrice, and then the eponymous Moving Mountains (2013). Shortly after the album's release, the band announced an indefinite hiatus after a series of farewell concerts. In 2015, a brief reunion takes place for a single concert and the album Foxing. In 2018 follows a new EP shared with Prawn for Triple Crown Records. Ten years on, Moving Mountains return with a fourth album in twenty years, Pruning of the Lower Limbs.
