Mors Principium Est

Mors Principium Est, a Finnish death metal band from Pori, was formed in 1999 by Jori Haukio, Jarkko Kokko, and Toni Nummelin. The group initially featured Mikko Sipola on drums and later added Ville Viljanen as the lead vocalist after Haukio decided to focus solely on guitar. Their debut demo, Before Birth, was released in 2000, followed by Valley of Sacrifice in 2001 and Third Arrival in 2002. These demos caught the attention of Listenable Records, leading to a three-album deal. The band's first full-length album, Inhumanity, was released in 2003. Subsequent albums included The Unborn (2005) and Liberation=Termination (2007). After a period of lineup changes, Mors Principium Est released ...And Death Said Live in 2012. The band continued with Dawn of the 5th Era in 2014 and Embers of a Dying World in 2017. Their seventh album, Seven, was released in 2020.
