Michael Salvatori

Michael Salvatori is a renowned American composer, born on April 18, 1954 in Elmhurst, Illinois. He is best known for his collaborations with the Bungie studio, notably on the soundtracks to the Halo video game series with Martin O'Donnell and Destiny, with C. Paul Johnson and Skye Lewin. Salvatori met Martin O'Donnell at university, and together they founded the music production company TotalAudio. Their partnership began with projects such as Myth: The Fallen Lords (1997) and continued with the creation of the iconic Halo: Combat Evolved soundtrack in 2001. They then collaborated until 2010 on the sequels Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. In 2014, after the end of his association with O'Donnell, Salvatori continued to work on the Destiny series, collaborating with C. Paul Johnson and Skye Lewin until 2017, then with Rotem Moav and Lewin in 2010, then only with Lewin in 2020. From 2022, the Destiny 2 series continued with Lewin and Josh Mosser.
