MC Frontalot

Damien Hess, known professionally as MC Frontalot, was born on December 3, 1973, in San Francisco, California. He is an American rapper and web designer who pioneered the nerdcore hip hop genre, blending elements of hip hop with themes from nerd culture. MC Frontalot began releasing music under his stage name in 1999, gaining early recognition through Song Fight!, an online songwriting competition where he consistently outperformed competitors. His breakthrough came with the release of "Nerdcore Hiphop" in 2000, which gained popularity within geek and nerd communities. MC Frontalot's first studio album, Nerdcore Rising, was released in 2005. In March 2002, the popular webcomic Penny Arcade named MC Frontalot their rapper laureate, significantly boosting his popularity. He released several albums, including Secrets from the Future (2007), Final Boss (2008), Zero Day (2010), Solved (2011), Question Bedtime (2014), and Net Split Or, The Fathomless Heartbreak Of Online Itself (2018).
